My hair looks greasy after using the Aleppo soap. What can I do?
Our recommendation, especially for longer hair, is to wash it twice. During the second wash, the soap foams much more, and the excess grease is removed.
Should I always do an acidic rinse afterwards?
Yes. Soaps are alkaline. To smooth the hair structure and avoid drying it out, you should always do an acidic rinse after use.
What is the difference between the normal Aleppo soap and Aleppo hair soap?
The only difference is the amount of laurel oil. The higher percentage of 30% is particularly good for a flaky scalp. However, Aleppo soap with 12% laurel oil is also suitable for hair. Likewise, Aleppo hair soap is also good for cleansing the skin.
What does 0% overfatting mean?
It means that the olive and laurel oils used have been completely processed into soap. So there is no need to worry that the oils will weigh the hair down or make it look greasy.
Why is glycerin included as an ingredient? Doesn't it dry out the skin?
Glycerin is automatically formed during saponification. The special thing about Aleppo soaps is that the glycerin is washed out with salt after saponification. Since there are still residues left in the soap, we list it as an ingredient. In such a low concentration, it has no drying effect.
Why does the large block look different from the 100 g size?
The large block is traditionally and handcrafted. The slightly hardened soap mass is cut into blocks by hand, stacked, and dried for nine months. For the smaller size, the soaps are chopped into flakes after drying and mechanically pressed into a manageable shape.
